RUTLAND, VT, UNITED STATES, January 7, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Daniel Hamel, a four time Book Excellence Award-winning children's author, has developed an educational series designed to help families navigate difficult conversations about bullying, loss, addiction, and juvenile delinquency. The series follows Timmy, a young protagonist who encounters these challenges between ages 7 and 10, providing children and parents with tools to address situations many families struggle to discuss.

The award-winning series has attracted attention from book clubs worldwide for its approach to sensitive topics that parents often find difficult to broach with their children. Each book presents real-life situations from a child's perspective, allowing young readers to connect with Timmy's experiences and emotional responses.

The series currently includes three books, with a fourth title, "A Brush With the Law," scheduled for release in early 2026. The narratives follow Timmy through age-appropriate challenges: facing bullying at age 7, losing his grandfather at 8, witnessing his father's struggle with alcohol at 9, and encountering legal troubles at 10.

Hamel's work as a children's author, poet, and fictional novelist stems from his belief that emotions are best expressed through written word. His educational series aims to equip children with understanding and coping mechanisms while simultaneously giving parents a framework for initiating conversations about topics they fear their children will or may face.

The books allow children to witness how Timmy and his parents handle each situation and observe his growth through adversity. This narrative approach provides relatability that traditional parental guidance may not achieve, according to the author's methodology.

Beyond his literary accomplishments, Daniel who was adopted away at the age of 2, found his birth siblings 32 years ago when he was 29 years old. His greatest personal achievement occurred on November 16, 2021, when he became a living kidney donor to his birth sister's 9-year-old grandson who had stage 5 kidney disease.

More information about that story and the series are available at Daniel Hamel's official website.
